Liam Henderson is delighted after signing his first professional contract which will keep him at Watford until the end of the 2008/09 season.The 18-year-old has scored four goals in 12 appearances in the reserves as well as being a regular in the Under 18s side, netting 10 times in 22 starts.

The Gateshead-born striker has also appeared as an unused substitute in the Carling Cup match against Southend earlier this season.

"I'm finishing the season on a high at the moment," Henderson told the club's official website.

"I want to have a strong pre-season and hopefully get noticed by the manager. I want to improve and push on and hopefully get my next contract."
