Michael Kightly marked his first start in five months with a goal as Wolves gained ground in the Championship play-off hunt with a 3-0 win at Molineux that ended Cardiff's own lingering promotion hopes.
The home side took the lead after eight minutes when Kightly (pictured) sent an angled ball in that was headed across the six-yard line by Kevin Foley and Keogh planted an emphatic header into the top right corner
Ebanks-Blake should have had the chance for a 24th of the season when Wanderers had two against one but Matt Jarvis' cross failed to beat Loovens.
However, the former Plymouth forward made amends soon afterwards with his ninth goal in his last 11 games when he slid in to convert Keogh's centre on the stroke of half-time.
Wanderers picked up where they left off in the second half and Kightly's night was complete when he tapped in from close range in the 57th minute after City goalkeeper Peter Enckelman had spilled Ebanks-Blake's shot.
The result moved the home side into seventh position just two points behind Crystal Palace with two games to play, while the FA Cup final is now all the Bluebirds have to look forward to after their play-off hopes ended for another year.
