Lyon have threatened to boycott their Coupe de France semi-final against Sedan unless it is rescheduled.

At it stands, the French champions play the Ligue 2 outfit on May 7, just three days before a crunch top of the table clash with third-placed Nancy.

A statement on the club's official website read: "OL is against the decision of the Federation to play the Coupe de France game between Lyon and Sedan on Wednesday May 7 at 9pm, which would leave only three days to prepare for the game against Nancy, a game which is vital in the title race.

"If the decision to keep the match on the Wednesday is confirmed, Olympique Lyonnais will be prepared to consider the semi-final an impasse, either by not attending or by playing its reserve team."

Lyon, who have won the Ligue 1 title for the past six years, currently top the French top flight, four points ahead of Bordeaux and 15 ahead of Nancy.
