Manager Mark Wright says his Chester City players should be "giving blood" when they travel to face Aldershot in a crucial match for his side.

City go into the game knowing that they must win and hope that Grimsby pick up nothing more than a point at Bournemouth, if they have any chance of avoiding relegation from the Football League.

"All the players are grown men and they have to fight, fight harder and stronger than they did last Saturday that's for sure," Wright told the Chester Chronicle.

"Nobody in their right mind wants to get relegated.

"The players should be giving blood on Saturday."

Chester are four points adrift from safety, down in 23rd place in League Two.

"They have to fly in to every tackle, don't back down from any challenge and go out there and give everything they've got and more.

"We have to give everything to try and keep this club in the League."
