Crewe Alexandra have announced the signing of six academy players on professional contracts at Gresty Road.Teenagers Luke Danville, Luke Murphy, Ashley Westwood, Chris Clements, AJ Leitch-Smith and Josh Thompson have all penned one-year deals at Gresty Road as they bid to break into Steve Holland's first-team plans.

A club statement read: "The club would also like to congratulate (assistant academy managers) Neil Critchley and James Collins for bringing through the youngsters to this stage of their careers in their first season in their full-time positions within the academy."
