Newly-promoted Nottingham Forest will play city rivals and League Two outfit Notts County in a pre-season friendly at Meadow Lane in August. It will be the second successive year that the two sides have met during the close season, with the game against the Championship newcomers set to take place on August 2.
"This is a tremendous fixture for us and I am sure the supporters are already eagerly anticipating the game," County manager Ian McParland told the club's official website.
"We will be delighted to welcome Colin Calderwood and his side to Meadow Lane, and I am sure they will provide us with a really good test ahead of the new season."
County last played Forest in a competitive fixture in 1994, when Charlie Palmer's injury-time header sealed a 2-1 home win for the Magpies in the old Division One.
