Reds coach Mooney leads Aussie A

Queensland Reds coach Phil Mooney has been named as coach of the Australia A team for this year's Pacific Nations Cup.

Mooney, 42, replaces ACT Brumbies coach Laurie Fisher in the Australia A job after just one season in charge of Queensland.

Australia A open their Pacific Nations Cup campaign against Japan in Fukuoka on June 8.

The tournament also includes Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand Maori.
