Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has been cleared of two improper conduct charges relating to claims he spat at Hull City assistant manager Brian Horton.
Hull made the allegations after ugly scenes at the end of an FA Cup tie on March 17. Fabregas, who was not playing, came on to the pitch and was involved in a confrontation with Hull staff.
The Spaniard maintained he was innocent of Hull's claim he spat at Horton's feet, and an independent commission has found there was not enough evidence to support the charges.
The decision was made last week, but the FA wanted to delay the announcement as Hull are still embroiled in a relegation battle.
Tigers manager Phil Brown was charged with improper conduct following an outburst at referee Mike Riley, and has requested a personal hearing.
An FA statement said: "At a regulatory commission hearing, two charges of improper conduct against Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas were found not proved.
"The charges related to Fabregas's conduct following the FA Cup match between Arsenal and Hull at the Emirates Stadium on 17 March.
"One charge concerned his conduct after coming onto the pitch following the final whistle. The second charge related to an allegation of spitting."

Justice has been done - I said all along Fabregas was innocent - bloody liers at Hull, lets hope they get relegated and back where the belong - Brown should be dismissed along with Horton.

shame on you Brown ! you tried & lost again! bad loser!
Fab 1 . gunner 4 life .
What a surprise, the manager (Phil Brown) who made up the story live on TV and changed it several times over the forthcoming weeks, was lying? Well I never.
This is for you 101 - you aick thing - Sir Alex, his great team and the fans/supporter couldn't care less what you stupid idiot says about them/us. If you can play like the lads at MANU then you have something to boast about, but until you can do so why don't you disappear completely, and leave this site for more decent comments.
Well finally some common sense has occured. Phil brown called 2 witnesses, who were linked with hull, to back up his claims and both said that they didn't see anything. Not that i'm calling phil brown a liar but when 2 members of your team don't back you up that kinda says a lot.
donneysbeck Why do you even bother posting when it is impossible to read or even understand the drivel you write? Open another bottle and crawl back under your stone.
With such an obvious verdict, it rather begs the question as to why the FA even bothered charging Cesc. It does bother me, however, that the verdict was delayed a week because Hull had a game to play. What a load of old tosh. They should now charge Brown with wasting everyone's time.
FOBREGOS AS SO CACK EYED THOT HE CANNAY EVAN SPATT STRAIT.
