Burnley manager Owen Coyle will transmit his remarkable self-belief to his players for the 61st and final game of their marathon season in Monday's play-off final against Sheffield United.
The Lancashire outfit flirted with oblivion 22 years ago when only a dramatic victory over Leyton Orient saved them from sliding out of the Football League and now they stand on the brink of promotion to the Barclays Premier League after 33 years out of the top flight.
Coyle, 42, said: "I do believe I'm a very positive person," said Coyle. "I was brought up with five brothers and three sisters in the Gorbals in Glasgow.
"You had to be very positive there, I can assure you. I've said to the players throughout the season `Nobody will ever hand you anything. Anything you get you're going to have to earn'.
"It's about getting that little bit extra out of them and making them even better.
"If I'm doing that then I'm making us a better team and that's my ultimate responsibility as a manager. Somebody said it was great to have the cup runs but I believed we could win every game. Otherwise, why enter the competition?"

This week we've seen Blackwell and the Sheff Utd use the media to try put pressure on the ref and win the sympathy of neutral supporters with the 'we should have never been relegated in 2007, bo, ho, bo, ho.....Arn't West Ham a bad bunch ??? Blah, Blah.....
I've seen Burnley, keep their composure, keep their focus and self belief......Plus thank the supporters who have followed them through thick and thin over the last 30 years........
Burnley will continue with the season on Monday, finish the job and mover on from there.
