Dagenham boss John Still has made his first summer signing with the capture of midfielder Stuart Thurgood on a two-year deal.

The 27-year-old enforcer has previously been at Southend and Gillingham and joins the club following a second spell with Grays Athletic.

"Stuart is a player I`ve been interested in for three or four years and I`m absolutely delighted to have added him to my squad," Still told his club's official website.

"Stuart is hungry to prove himself back in the Football League and his drive and ambition is something that has impressed me."
