Republic of Ireland keeper Shay Given will travel to London to consult a specialist over his knee injury.
The 36-year-old, who has missed training for the last two days after sustaining the problem, will return to Ireland's Portmarnock base the same day with the camp insisting the visit to a doctor he has used before is purely precautionary.
A Football Association of Ireland spokesman said: "Shay Given will travel to London to visit a knee specialist that he has seen in the past. He will return to Portmarnock in the evening.
"This is purely precautionary and Shay remains fine for the Euros."

I don't blame Brad for wanting regular football, Justinio (and he's WAY too good for the Small Heath division), but with Shay Given getting creakier by the day, I reckon Guzan would probably be in the team more than him this season.
To be honest i'm pretty sure Guzan wouldn't want to be bench sitting for another season when he could get into any championship side and a hand full of premier league sides. Good luck to him and lets get behind the Villa!!
Ridiculous decision to release Guzan. Any ideas on a manager who will be prepared to work with the bare bones? It's looking worse by the hour.
mistake to release guzan.
@On the move please go away.
sell him he no good for villa
