A blueprint calendar for the Formula One Teams' Association's new breakaway series in 2010 has been leaked - with no fewer than 10 current or recent grand prix circuits listed amongst the 17 venues.
FOTA are at loggerheads with FIA president Max Mosley over regulations for the 2010 season, and the appearance of a schedule for the new series undermines Mosley's claim that the teams are merely "posturing" and that a resolution to the dispute is "very, very close."
Current F1 venues Monaco, Silverstone, Monza, Abu Dhabi and Singapore are all on the list of venues, while the recently discarded Imola, Montreal, Indianapolis, Magny-Cours and Suzuka are part of the draft plan.
There is also a mooted return to Jerez, the southern Spanish track that fell out of favour with F1 when the town's mayor appeared on the podium and presented a trophy that should have been given out by a dignitary from Daimler-Benz.
There is also a potential return to Adelaide, the popular home of Australian Grand Prix until 1996, when rival Melbourne took over.
"Not surprisingly Adelaide has been included because it was very, very popular when it had Formula 1," said racing consultant Mike Drewer.
"But it's a bit like trying to work out who might be the members of a cabinet if there was a change in government."
There is no race in Brazil, but Argentina and Mexico are both on the list.
In Europe, meanwhile, there is the addition of the state-of-the-art Portimao track in Portugal, which opened in 2008 and has hosted testing as well as World Superbike races.
Surfers' Paradise - which has hosted Champ Cars, IndyCars and V8s - has been nominated as a reserve venue should any of the others not be up to the grade.
F1 commercial rights-holder Ecclestone has poured cold water on the FOTA plans, claiming dissenting teams do not possess sufficient financial backing to organise their own championship.
Provisional FOTA 2010 schedule:
March 3 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - Last hosted F1 in 1998

I hope the dirty sex pervert is reading these blogs. The fans support the FOTA and not his corrupt fia. Just do it's FOTA, breakaway from that joke call fia governing body. Mosley is a nasty pig with no morals.
red bull are not made for f1. they make energy drink.
you drink too many cans and you get the trots. you make the pit stops to the toilet more times than mr hamiton get the lapped in the race.
red bull should eploy mr hamiltons son and mr hamiltons father and then they could rename themselve " red bullsh%t."
Just tell us where we can buy the tickets????? Great news
Israel still dissing people and you still have angst in your pants.Have you anything positive to say?
I think it could be genuine, but I'm still skeptical even if it is a FOTA leak, it may be them bluffing in order to get the FIA to give in or to drum up support for the new tournament.
As for people saying that there's no Racetrack in Helsinki that obviously means it's fake, after all there was no racetrack in Singapore or Valencia until last year and they ended up happening (yes, I do personally hope it's another street circuit, mostly because I love Helsinki).
Also, most people have forgotten that there are 2 Finnish F1 drivers, 1 a WDC, and Finland has the most Champions per capita of any country in the world, not to mention a huge support/fanbase. It's no wonder they'd decide to have a Grand Prix in the capital. After all, During the years of Schumacher his huge support meant that it was worthwhile having two races in Germany each year, and a simmilar situation with Alonso and the new track in Valencia.
Either way, slightly miffed about Turkey not being on the list.
wrinkley OAP jealous sex pervert maxx === aPROMISE is just something to be broken for hym ..!
I think that the tesm's are set to move too the next step. MAX should not take this as threat but as a loss of creadabilty and respect for the current way F1 & FIA rules the sport ! LONG LIVE THE FURRIOR $.
Looks great, but why are all the races so far apart? I like to watch races on back to back weekends... but i guess the teams would like more time in between and this is going to be their series so i guess it makes sense
A question often asked of me is why don't I write some new posts and not just post the same old Potter, Bernard, Marion and Marnio posts? Its a good question and I suppose the answer is that I am a sad old woman who has nothing better to do and not only but these posts take me days to write because I am so stupid. When I post them you lot unkindly thumb them down so I have to keep re-posting them, its all I have left in life.
this is nothing but pie in the sky dreams they have not spoken to most of the tracksd mentioned so most likely will not get all of them also so they are listerning to the fans are they?
I see they are still wanting to go out to the far east
September 26 - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Current F1 host
and
October 10 - Marina Bay, Singapore - Current F1 host
Both of which races were moaned about like crazy from the teams and also the so called fans due to them having no soul or atmosphere seams like we see even the fota fans as two faced as FOTA.
To those wondering about Spa.
The circuit is owned by Bernie. There's a reason.
I'd like it added though.
Moscow badly wants to have the F1 or even St Petersburg. Russia is THE most important market for the manufacturers. Also what about Belgium, Holland, and 2 races in the UK. Why the massive expense of Argentina dn Mexico - but at least they are interlinked to keep costs down, something F1 has managed to fail on every season for years.

What about Kyalami and we have what F1 hasn't got, all continents.
ZANDVOORT ZANDVOORT
not 2B overlooked +++++++BRANDS HATCH
Thumb Bill K as much as you like but he does have a very valid point.
Scrap either Finland or Germany and add in Spa/Belgium and you'd have a really good mix of races.
I'm much more interested in the FOTA schedule for 2010 than what we're currently seeing from FOM right now.
Very good FOTA race schedule - let the new FOTA 2010 championship begin !!!
