A blueprint calendar for the Formula One Teams' Association's new breakaway series in 2010 has been leaked - with no fewer than 10 current or recent grand prix circuits listed amongst the 17 venues.
FOTA are at loggerheads with FIA president Max Mosley over regulations for the 2010 season, and the appearance of a schedule for the new series undermines Mosley's claim that the teams are merely "posturing" and that a resolution to the dispute is "very, very close."
Current F1 venues Monaco, Silverstone, Monza, Abu Dhabi and Singapore are all on the list of venues, while the recently discarded Imola, Montreal, Indianapolis, Magny-Cours and Suzuka are part of the draft plan.
There is also a mooted return to Jerez, the southern Spanish track that fell out of favour with F1 when the town's mayor appeared on the podium and presented a trophy that should have been given out by a dignitary from Daimler-Benz.
There is also a potential return to Adelaide, the popular home of Australian Grand Prix until 1996, when rival Melbourne took over.
"Not surprisingly Adelaide has been included because it was very, very popular when it had Formula 1," said racing consultant Mike Drewer.
"But it's a bit like trying to work out who might be the members of a cabinet if there was a change in government."
There is no race in Brazil, but Argentina and Mexico are both on the list.
In Europe, meanwhile, there is the addition of the state-of-the-art Portimao track in Portugal, which opened in 2008 and has hosted testing as well as World Superbike races.
Surfers' Paradise - which has hosted Champ Cars, IndyCars and V8s - has been nominated as a reserve venue should any of the others not be up to the grade.
F1 commercial rights-holder Ecclestone has poured cold water on the FOTA plans, claiming dissenting teams do not possess sufficient financial backing to organise their own championship.
Provisional FOTA 2010 schedule:
March 3 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - Last hosted F1 in 1998
March21 - Mexico City, Mexico - Last hosted F1 in 1992
April 11 - Jerez, Spain - Last hosted F1 in 1997

This FOTA series sounds like a lot better series than what FIA offers. I am beginning to get interested in FOTA. On the surface at least, it looks like they've planned well for a fan base for the series. Best of all, the Max and Bernie Show is not listed on the menu. I wish them lots of luck.
Like or hate Bernie, he's no idiot when it come to promoting. I would be truly surprised if he didn't have hi current venues locked up with clauses banning a competitive series.
I will guess that a break away series will need to out-last F1 or their contract before the FOTA series can book a race.
That's what happened in the US with the CART/IRL split. CART had the current venues locked up. The new IRL had to go searching for tracks.
There are plenty of tracks to host the FOTA series, but I'm sceptical of any schedule listing current F1 tracks.

La cucaracha! la Cucaracha! Mexico yes!
How great is this....Way to get after it....FOTA!!! Now if they can get Spa added to the list, we will have all the tracks that carry their historic as well as premium challenge levels back to our sport! Bernie would have F1 in the Congo and Nigeria if he could swindle enough money away from the organizers!!!
I can't wait to see the expression on Peter Windsor and Richards faces when they realize they have just joined a series that will be as lame as watching a Formula Ford or SCCA parking lot event!!! Looks like Force India and Williams better figure out a loop hole in their recent signing with the FIA....Wow, what idiots....that will teach them not to abide by the group....that little split away from FOTA just may have cost them their existence in the new Formula One!
if you think that a contract will stop the teams think againas like football they just have to have a team does not mean it has to be there btop team and drivers it coulde be learners as you might say so someone who is a good racing driver but needs experiance could drive for them they could use it for testing new bits for there no1 team on the other circit so go boys mosley need to forget hes not a dictator nor will he ever be
I discorvered a hot place
"""""""Tallme et C om""""""" where many sexy singles- who like dating and-- chatting there. I'm an open- minded girl with strong s---exual a--ttraction I-- am Waiting 4 u
Breakaway....................YES. All looks and sounds GREAT.
I make it 9 in Europe
This looks like an excellent set of races, hope they can work out the details and get them locked in soon.
As for the rules for next year, that's easy, they are already written. It'll be the SAME rules as this year's F1 with a few ammendments (like getting rid of KERS probably). That way, everyone of the existing teams already have a car ready to go. And anyone new knows what to build a car similar too. Circuits as you said, well here's the possible list right here. And as for sponsorship, where are the sponsors going to want to be seen? Where the no-one's +2 are racing and no-one watching? or where the Ferrari, McLaren and co are racing and everyone watching? There won't be enough time for drawn out contract negotiation, so it'll be a case of 'who wants to sponsor us? Best offer gets it, you got 3 weeks'. Or something to that effect.
As for people saying it's fake because of Laustizring and Helsinki, Laustizring is free for use as it isn't locked into any kind of exclusivity clause. Helsinki, well I know there are tracks in Finland, I'm sure there was more than one close by to Helsinki, so perhaps one of those is on the cards.
wow.... only 5 races in europe...... still waiting for Holland to come on the list....
This list is a fake. It was posted a couple of days ago in Polish, and is someone's wishful thinking. The two giveaways are using Lausitz for the German GP (less than 20 miles from the Polish border), and the mythical track in Helsinki.
Well said Joker that post from cliff I was like it was from some hillbilly whose father married his sister. But I dont think he is a hillbilly, I think he is from Canada. I think he is none other than that boring old bum-burp Dan with space between his ears. lmfao.
Wow, there's no Spa............ they don't even mention it. Spa's the best circuit and they don't include it? What's gonna be their excuse this time?
No cliff l I dislike Max & Bernie as much as anyone. They may have been good for the sport in the past but they are a disaster now.
Can you please point out what facts I got wrong? You may have hinted at some in your post but your English is so awful it was difficult to understand great chunks of it.
You are typical of the muppets on this site, you cant have reasoned argument so you resort to insults. If you don't agree with my post then please explain why without insults and foul language. I know that for someone of your limited intelligence and education this will be difficult but please give it a go. You never know you might actually have a point to make but I very much doubt it.
This calendar sounds a lot more interesting than the current F1 one/next years. Only track I'd add is spa.
FOTA will not be FOTA any more, and if there is a breakaway series, it will not be called Formula One, as the FIA and FOM hold the rights to that trademark!
now just have a race in Africa nad we are good 2 go!
the joker....nice name....... so you like max ? well you can go back to germany with him, get your facts right before you start talking out of your ring, if the f1 teams want to start there own season it,s up 2 them you honestly think max can stop them??? your the 1 who lives in the clouds, space man you aint got a fing clue. gz though for the shitest post i,ve ever seen. what a load of @#$%, if i didn,t know better i thought you were his son.....no wait he,s dead.
Fota should do the best solving racism by creating a circuit in Africa.
