Ipswich winger Jaime Peters has been called into Canada's Gold Cup squad.

The 22-year-old, who won his 16th cap in the recent friendly against Cyprus, will subsequently miss the start of pre-season with the Tractor Boys.

Canada open their group against Jamaica on July 3 in Los Angeles before taking on El Salvador four days later in Columbus.

They finish their campaign against Costa Rica in Miami on July 10.
