Gareth Evans admits he had little hesitation in swapping Macclesfield for Bradford following a conversation with Stuart McCall.
Bantams boss McCall contacted Evans during his summer holiday and quickly persuaded the young striker to join the Valley Parade club on a two-year deal.
"I was away on holiday, lying on a beach in Lanzarote," said Evans, who opted for Bradford ahead of Lincoln.
"I got a call from Stuart saying Bradford were keen on me and liked what I had to offer. Basically, that was then pretty much a done deal.
"As soon as I knew Bradford were interested, that was it."
