Baggies boss still chasing signings

Wed 23 Jul, 10:15 AM

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray is still looking to bolster his squad ahead of their return to Premier League action next month. The Baggies have already brought four players in following promotion from the Championship, but Mowbray wants more signings.

"We have got a fair bit of business still to do," Mowbray told Sky Sports News.

"We have a number of irons in the fire and a lot of conversations going on and hopefully we should have something to report in next few weeks.

"We have got targets and I hope to bring another few in, in next few weeks. There should be a few before the season kicks off and after that too."

  1. where is Zakir from, Brum or wolves?. wherever, we will survive. despite losing the likes of phillips and gera we still have a pretty strong squad. texierra was out for long periods at the end too. yes we need to strengthen but who doesn`t in the prem?.
question for Z. who was the only team , ever ,to survive after being bottom at xmas?.
i`ll settle for that but don`t think i will have to.

what our distractors don't seem to understand in spite of their obvious premiership expereieince is the clubs that survive are those that play football.
it is no coincidence that portsmouth could only beat us with an handball.
they couldn't get the ball off us so where no threat.
the baggies were the arsenal of the championship last season.
i would expect us to survive by the skin of our teeth and contniue to build a club and a team
we do need to learn how to transfer the balance of play into goals though and i guess this is what tony is looking to enhance
