Grimsby boss Alan Buckley has praised the manner in which new-boys Richard Hope, Chris Llewellyn and Robbie Stockdale have settled at the club. The trio all featured prominently in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Gainsborough Trinity, where Peter Till and Martin Butler found the target, but fellow summer signing Matt Heywood missed out with a groin injury.
Buckley is pleased with his summer signings as the countdown continues to the start of the new season next month.
"It's good to have a look at things and we got a chance to try Chris out through the middle," said Buckley.
"I was delighted with his work-rate, closing defenders down. He still needs games but there's a lot to come from him and the other new lads.
"Robbie's settled in all right and Hopey's not put a foot wrong."
