Jackson keen on Patulea swoop

Wed 23 Jul, 02:30 PM

Lincoln boss Peter Jackson believes trialist Adrian Patulea "has something about him" and is hoping to sign the former Rapid Bucharest striker.Patulea took his tally for the club to four goals in two games after netting in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Retford United, with Jack Roberts and Danny Hone also on the scoresheet.

The Romanian forward also scored a hat-trick against Lincoln United at the weekend and Jackson is now keen to complete a deal for Patulea's services.

"We are in touch with the Romanian FA because this lad certainly has something about him," Jackson told the Lincolnshire Echo.

"He has scored four goals in one-and-a-half games and did well again on Tuesday night. He worked hard, in what was a very young team. He may have stolen the headlines on Sunday and he is one we will continue to work at. But it will be very complicated to sort out and hopefully we will get to the bottom of the situation sooner rather than later."

Jackson also confirmed trialist duo Abdou Bojang and Dean Barnes have left the club after they struggled to impress against Retford.
