Notts County manager Ian McParland believes he has the two best goalkeepers in League Two in Kevin Pilkington and Russell Hoult.Former Manchester United trainee Pilkington signed a new two-year contract this summer, while Hoult joined the club from Stoke following his loan spell at Meadow Lane last season.
"I would say we have the best two goalkeepers in the league. You have to go a long way to find a better pair in this division," McParland told the club's official website.
"We were delighted to get Russell Hoult back, and although he is injured right now we expect him to be fit for the new season.
"When he came in last season he gave the place a big lift at a time when we needed it. He kept seven clean sheets in 14 games and I didn't think we would be able to get him, but we got him.
"We cannot forget Kevin Pilkington either. He was playing out of his skin until he got injured, which was so unfortunate."
