Bradford manager Stuart McCall is hoping Chilean striker Willy Topp has finally put his injury woes behind him ahead of the new campaign.Topp, signed from Universidad Catolica in December 2007, failed to complete a match last season due to a debilitating muscle-tightening condition in his calves, but has looked sharp in pre-season following surgery in February.
McCall told the club's official website: "We wanted to take Billy off earlier at Guiseley, but he was really keen to keep playing.
"He wants to stay on the field and prove he can play a full 90 minutes. I've had to tell him there's another game coming up which he will be involved in.
"We were quite confident he wouldn't have any problems after the operation, but it's good to see him looking so keen and obviously mentally it must be a lift for him."
Topp, 22, will feature in his third game in eight days when City take on Dundee on Wednesday.
