Michael Bell is confident ahead of Art Connoisseur's run in Sunday's Group One Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh.

The impressive Coventry Stakes winner is set to take on Mastercraftsman, the pick of the Aidan O'Brien quartet and currently 5-4 favourite for the race with Blue Square.

Art Connoiseur is a 9-4 chance, but Bell is sure the value lies with his horse. He told the Racing Post: "Art Connoisseur is the form horse in the race. He's very well at home, and another big run is on the cards."

O'Brien meanwhile is unsure who will join Mastercraftsman in the €300,000 contest.

He said: "We're looking at running Mastercraftsman. We have been happy with him since the Railway Stakes last month. Well decide over the next day or so what will run with him."
