Real Madrid playmaker Guti insists the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo would not disrupt team spirit.
The Manchester United winger has been linked with a lucrative move all summer and would likely be one of the highest earners at the Bernabeu should a transfer go ahead.
On Tuesday Real captain Raul refuted suggestions Ronaldo's arrival and wage packet would upset the harmony of the squad, and Guti has followed suit, endorsing the winger as one of the best players in the world.
"Real Madrid need good players and Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player you can bring in right now," Guti said at a press conference.
"We would be delighted to have him. He wouldn't upset the good atmosphere, and anyway people tell me he's a great person and a good team player.
"Everyone works to earn as much as they can get and if he's one of the best players in the world he should earn more.
"Maybe he won't win you the Champions League on his own, but he's very tricky and he'll win you games. With players like that you've always got chances to win plenty of titles."
Guti would also welcome unsettled Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o back to Madrid if a move is sealed.
Eto'o has been told he can leave the Nou Camp this summer, and although he is reportedly the subject of interest from Real, it would be a controversial move for the player who left on a sour note in 2000.
"He did it before (play for Madrid) and he's one of the greats of football," Guti said of Eto'o.
"I have a great friendship with him, he's a great player and a good person. If he comes he'll bring a lot to the side. He's a great player and Real Madrid always sign great players."
Guti also believes the Bernabeu crowd would welcome the Cameroon international back.
"Madrid fans are very understanding and if Samuel does things well and scores a lot of goals then we'll all be happy," he said.

i really hope that Real doesnt end up with overrated little Ronaldo. The boy can score in England, but in Spain he'll have it much harder, as it's a better competition. Real should keep Robinho, the world's most annoying goal-celebration wonder. And Eto can go anywhere, but not back to Real, i didnt forget his 'speech' at Barca's triumph.
I agree with you Jeff A I think that real Madrid doesnt need Ronaldo but they do need eto or Van der vaart and Madrids left back has been unstable ever since Roberto Carlos went past his prime, Ithink that Real Madrid sshould look for a good Left Back maybe Eric Abidal he says that he doesnt realy think hes playing good at Barca so why not try him at Real. and maybe have him at left back then Cannavaro and Pepe and ramos with Casillas in goal Snjder in the CAM and Diarra in the CDM while having Robinho and Robben on the wings with Ruud and maybe Eto up front. Ronaldo has no room at Real even though Guti and Snjder are saying that they would welcome him he will just end up playing the same way he does at Man u and Thats not reals style Reals style needs good midfileders and passeres not show boaters.
i heard they wont sell robinho to chelsea unless they do get ronaldo
Rubbish.. we dont need ronaldo nor eto yet, we're building a great team, keep robinho , he is a team player
