Aidan O'Brien's King Of Rome bids for his first win of the season in Thursday night's Group Three Meld Stakes at Leopardstown.
The son of Montjeu has clearly always been held in plenty of regard at Ballydoyle, and was the choice of stable jockey Johnny Murtagh for the Epsom Derby.
But he disappointed there, finishing 12th of 16, and followed up by finishing third in the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot.
The main opposition to King Of Rome is likely to come from the Charles O'Brien-trained Lord Admiral.
He hasn't been seen out since May when second to Ferneley in the Amethyst Stakes at Leopardstown.
Kevin Prendergast's hardy seven-year-old Mustameet makes a quick return after his third behind Plan and Regime in the Keeneland International Stakes at the Curragh on July 12.
Aidan O'Brien's King Of Westphalia makes up the four-runner field.
