La Liga - Ibrahimovic doubtful for Malaga clash

The minor sprained ankle Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic suffered in the 4-1 win at Racing Santander could keep him out of the champions' next La Liga match at Malaga.

The Sweden striker, who scored Barca's opening goal on Tuesday and created one for defender Gerard Pique with a clever backheel, went over on his right ankle in the second half and played on for several minutes before being replaced by Pedro.

"The player is doubtful for the game on Saturday at Malaga," Barca said on their website.

Barca are unbeaten so far this season, with four wins from their opening four Liga games, and top the league table by three points.

  1. ibra is a good player and he has proved that by scoring­ 4 in 4 match i think it is good job and we are looking­ for more but i don`t think we are not able to defeat­ malaga without him . get well ibra and you`ll score­ against denamo

  2. is clear that the quality with and without Ibrahimovic­ or Messi is not the same but the main architects of­ Barcelona are Xavi and Guardiola. While they are there­ is hard to lose. Go Barça!

  4. thats not good new's but that shouldnt to be to­ much of a problem to beat Malaga but i hope he's­ back for the Dynamo Kiev clash.
