Premier League - Eduardo to return in three weeks

Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva is three weeks away from returning from his horrific broken leg.

Manager Arsene Wenger told the club's AGM that the Croatia international would be able to play as soon as mid-November following ninth months out.

Eduardo suffered a compound fracture of the lower left leg in a tackle by Birmingham City's Martin Taylor during a Premier League match in February.

The 25-year-old, who scored 12 times in his debut season before the injury, has undergone successful rehabilitation and looks set to defy fears that he would no play again.

Wenger said: Eduardo is three weeks away from playing competitive football.

However, the Frenchman offered a more pessimistic analysis of midfielder Tomas Rosicky.

The Czech international has been out since the end of January with hamstring and knee problems, and Wenger admitted he is unlikely to play again in 2008.

He should be back after Christmas," said Wenger.

7 - I wasnt the one claiming the injury was deliberate, I am merely reporting what I saw in these comment section several months back.

  17. fantastic news after that hoffic tackle. i just want to see if he is still the same. he was really hitting good form last season before his horrible injury. hopefully he can repeat the same form for us this season when he comes back.

  19. Are the croatians still claiming the injury was deliberate because croatia beat england in the euro qualifiers?
Yeah, that made sense - despite the fact that england supporters, players etc blamed maclaren and the players for their own failings and held no grudge against crotia for winning fair and square twice and then making a good account of themselves at the euros. Despite the fact Taylor wasnt even an england player, despite the fact that most people wouldnt have even known Eduardo was crotian they still cry conspiracy theory.
