Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is expected to field an unchanged side when managerless Grimsby visit Dean Court to face the League Two leaders.

The Cherries have been blighted by injuries this season, but Howe reported no new problems following last weekend's victory at Accrington.

Sammy Igoe (bruised marrow) and Joe Partington (groin) are back in light training but neither player is likely to feature against the Mariners.

Jeff Goulding made his long-awaited return from an ankle injury with a brief appearance at Stanley and came through 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek.

But the striker is expected to remain on the bench once again along with Alan Connell, who played 45 minutes for the second string.

Scott Guyett is expected to be out for around six weeks with a knee problem, with Shaun Cooper also out until the new year.

Danny Boshell comes back into the reckoning following suspension as Grimsby begin life after Mike Newell.

Midfielder Boshell completed a two-match ban as Town lost for a fourth straight league game at home to Rochdale last weekend - the 2-0 defeat spelling the end of Newell's managerial reign.

Youth team manager Neil Woods has been appointed as caretaker manager but he will be unable to call upon captain Ryan Bennett as the defender is training with Peterborough ahead of completing a three-month loan switch to the Championship club.

Woods will also be without a trio of strikers as Nathan Jarman (foot) and Adam Proudlock (ankle) remain sidelined through injury, while Barry Conlon serves the final game of his four-match suspension.
