"I am happy they agreed," said Germany coach Joachim Loew. "Despite some problems in their qualification, Argentina are in my opinion one of the strongest teams in the world."

The game is part of a two-match package agreed with the South Americans with the other friendly set for 2012.

Argentina, who secured their berth at the finals in their last qualifier, meet European champions Spain at Madrid's Bernabeu stadium on November 14 as part of the Spanish federation's centenary celebrations.

They took the fourth automatic South American berth behind Brazil, Chile and Paraguay.
