Bradford striker Michael Boulding hopes to shake off a virus in time to prove his fitness for the home game against Hereford.
Boulding missed last week's defeat at Dagenham due to the illness and had been told to stay away from Valley Parade.
Fellow striker Gareth Evans returned to the starting line-up last week alongside James Hanson following a three-game ban and those two are likely to resume their partnership should Boulding fail to make it.
Last season's leading goalscorer Peter Thorne will be sidelined for at least another fortnight after aggravating a hamstring injury and Stephen O'Leary has also suffered an injury setback.
The midfielder, a summer signing following his release from Hereford, was hoping to return against his former club after breaking a toe, but has been told the injury has not healed properly and must rest indefinitely.
