Rangers manager Walter Smith has several injury concerns ahead of their Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Hibernian.
Midfield could be a problem area, with Pedro Mendes out for up to two months with a knee injury while Kevin Thomson is a doubt after injuring his shoulder in training.
Madjid Bougherra will also miss the visit of the Edinburgh club with a knee injury which is likely to keep him on the sidelines for a couple of weeks, while Maurice Edu and Kirk Broadfoot are still out.

Mendes isn't a problem as you just make Davies one of the middle two, where he is 100% more effective anyway. I see him & Thomson as a better partnership than Mendes & Thomson, although if Thomson doesn't make it for today's game then you play McUlloch. That's no problem either because Thomson is clearly still not 100% fit, although obviously I understand that you have to play him to get him there. Remember though that McUlloch has scored a couple of goals this season when he's deputised for Thomson.
The only problem is in defence where Papac will play for Bougherra. I don't know what the @#$% Walter's thinking is in this because I've seen Danny Wilson play plenty of times & he's 10 times better than Papac, a player who's forgotten how to play at centre half.
Apologies to offmymash the post below should have been addressed to azzurri (a shade of blue?)
offmymash,
Would you care indicate where/when "i've read a lot of your posts on here". It would certainly be a revelation to me. Still, you probably work on the thesis that you should never let the facts get in the way of a cretinous assumption.

Is there a particularly malevolent voodoo doctor in Haiti with an inexhaustible supply of pins and in the pay of septic fitba klub. I realise that all clubs suffer a degree of attrition but jeeessus, Rosenthal, Prodan, Kuznetsov,
Durante, Smith, Douglas Badder etc etc ad nauseum (sorry about the Latin lads), Is there some logical reason why we seem to be more susceptible to the veritable slings and arrows or is it either the voodoo doctor or a dubious medical team?.
PS talking about medical travails, glad to hear that John Hartson is well on the road to recovery.
