Chelsea coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is still keen to take Manchester City star Robinho to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues trailed the Brazil winger (pictured kneeling) throughout the summer before City nipped in with a late bid on transfer deadline day to seal his signing from Real Madrid for £32 million.
"I am sure that Robinho would be the best player in the world if he came to play at Chelsea," he told Brazilian daily O Globo.
"The Chelsea doors are always open to him."
Attacking midfielder Robinho, who has made 11 Premier League starts for City and hit eight goals, scored a stunning scooped finish in City's 3-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday.
Chelsea were held 0-0 at home by Newcastle.
Man City have meanwhile been linked in the media with a £60m swoop for Chelsea captain John Terry, as well as a cut-price £1m deal for Toon striker Michael Owen, who is out of contract in the summer.

I think Robinho coming to chelsea is a good move but am afraid if he will not run out of form.cos we have seen great players coming to chelsea and not performing so i hope he wont fall a victim.am a chelsea fan but i think the team as to be rebuild e dont want players who belives they are too big like Micheal balack,Drogba,Malouda,Anelka.they are just playing big mans football beliving no body can control them.pls tell Scolari not to play this players again untill they have learn thier lessons.we chelsea fans in Nigeia are not happy about it.am Daniel from Nigeria
There isn't a first team coach in the world that wouldn't like to have Robinho in thier squad. So to be "recognised" by Chelsea isn't quite as awesome as you might think. This is just Scolari getting the jitters in case JT joins City in January...which is the more likely scenario.
Is that the Man City sky blue then? ;)
I wonder why people like Imad A should be allowed confront better respected coaches like Scolari through this medium. Robinho is welcome at chelsea. He should be proud of being recognised by the leading contender to the Premiership throne this season. Anyway, whether he joins Chelsea or not, the crown stays at Stanford Bridge this season.
God bless the colour blue.

SCOLARI GET A LIFE ... ROBINHO WELCOME AT CHELSKI ... LEAVE THE PLAYER ALONE AND DONT SETTLE HIM .. HE WOULD FADE AWAY IN YOUR TEAM YOU LOUSY SHITTTTT.... I AM A UNITED FAN AND TO THE BLOOD BUT HIM BEING AT CITY MAKES THE GAME MORE INTERESTING, THE LEAGUE HARDER NOT THE USUAL WINNERS .. WE ALL SUPPORT OUR TEAMS BUT WE NEED TO SEE GOOD FOOTBALL ... SO BACK THE HELL OFF MAN AND SO TO MADRID....
UNITEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Now this is interesting for an outsider...the battle of the big money guns. :) I think for any non Chelsea or Man City fan this is what is gonna be the interest points during transfere periods. Chelsea and Man city bidding against each other for various names. Im sure most of the time they will try and avoid crossing swords but Robinho's signature and where he ends up will be interesting. I think he will leave Man city for Chelsea, i mean anyone who says im delighted t sign for chelsea...ahem...when he's just signed for Man city ahahaha slight blunder there. He wants European football, If Man city can get a UEFA cup spot he might stay and depending on how Man city do in the UEFA cup this season will depend on where he ends up. But unless Man City are in the CL withing two years Rob will be vacating his spot. Currently he's too good for Man City, no offence Man city fans, because i am a beliver that it is just a matter of time before Man City get there, but that might not be quick enough for the various big name mercenaries around the world. Its a shame they are all about the cash but thats the way it goes. Good luck Man city because im quite excited about the money battles between Man city and Chelsea over the coming years.
why not sir alex buy a robinho..??
robinho must play at Old Trafford...not at stamford bridge...
Manchester United are great team this season...
to jeddowesuk,
same like man city..nothing before abu dhabi group coming BUT..
u can see honours of chelsea..hahaha..who's nothing???
TERRY is not like robin'who'!!!!! he's not money minded and the talk about him leaving chelsea is never occured!!!
The MCFC Are wonderfull
f**k off chelski!
Woo the FA Cup. Get real. Chelski were nothing before abramovich, they were struggling to stay in the prem, let alone in the top 4.
Hands of our best player!!!!, you're only saying he's welcome because he's so damn good, and besides, he suits sky blue....its the best=looking kit in the EPL!!
spknott "before Abramovich's money you were a second rate club in Arsenal's and Tottenham's shadow"
It would be stupid of me to deny the effects of Abramovitch's money but I'm afraid your memory is letting you down somewhat. From 1997 to 2004, before Abramovitch, Chelsea's record was as follows:-
1997 FA CUp Winners, 1998 League Cup/European Cup Winners Cup/Super Cup Winners
2000 FA Cup Winners
2002 FA Cup Finalists
Also in that period Chelsea never finished outside the top six in the Prem and in 2004 were Runners-Up.
Hardly the record of a second rate club and certainly not in the shadow of Spurs !!LOL
You've being listening too closely to the propaganda of Chelsea's jealous rivals. And Good Luck to Man City as well.
post 49! lollllllll i hope not! whatever the motives of those arabs are i think it's good for the EPL...i 4 one would love to c villa or man city break into the top four and outmuscle them in transfers...if chelski got 2 league titles, one carling cup and one FA cup thanx to spending big then man city should do the same!!!!...the only think i hate is when some ignorant makes a stupid comment that has nothing 2 do with football...
and ashly cole
i cant undestand why would robinho leave city as they just offer him as much money as he wants to keep him and didnt he sigh a contract and how can chelsea get him to leave as the transfere money means nothing to citylike ranaldo moveing to real madrid he didnt shelsea have said nobody will come in january and as therre is no african nations cup this year so we are fully loaded as the table says being top without essien and carvaleho drogba been out as well joe cole ballack so wher are these players going to play in the reserves

Touchy? You're not a terrorist too? lol
Well said number 32 (spknott). I have followed Chelsea as both man and boy- and i remember all to well following the debt ridden team in half empty grounds in the second division days. I wish Mark Hughes and Manchester City well, I feel given a bit of time and patience I think they will prove to be a highly entertaining team and do really well.
post 46!
greenfield237 u r a goddamnfucking @#$%! wot does terrorism have in link to robinho's move from man city to chelski! it's all about football and marketing u dimwit! actually u should go fucck urself or somethin'
