Chelsea coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is still keen to take Manchester City star Robinho to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues trailed the Brazil winger (pictured kneeling) throughout the summer before City nipped in with a late bid on transfer deadline day to seal his signing from Real Madrid for £32 million.

"I am sure that Robinho would be the best player in the world if he came to play at Chelsea," he told Brazilian daily O Globo.

"The Chelsea doors are always open to him."

Attacking midfielder Robinho, who has made 11 Premier League starts for City and hit eight goals, scored a stunning scooped finish in City's 3-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday.

Chelsea were held 0-0 at home by Newcastle.

Man City have meanwhile been linked in the media with a £60m swoop for Chelsea captain John Terry, as well as a cut-price £1m deal for Toon striker Michael Owen, who is out of contract in the summer.

  7. azadingle, you are wrong. Real wouldnt sell him to chelsea cause they chased him and assumed they would get him but they had to sell cause he wanted to leave so bad and city were the onlyother team bidding.

why do peole with clearly no knowledge come on here.

I thoght it was quite funny that city had crazy amunts of money snd a mental owner but now you city fans are getting cocky and arrogant when yous are bottom half of table.

the biggest players in the world wont want to go to city! robinho isnt thebest in the world and he didnt even wanna join yous. now hes coming out trying to tell big players to join him so as he can try make it that he aint playing in a small non well known team!

  10. City paid 32.5m for Robinho and a few games in he's showing the world how good he really is with his trickery along with scoring 9 goals (all comp) not bad going, Ronaldo at Man Utd is valued at the crazy price of 125m, so what price Robinho now, 50, 60 ,70 it's anyones guess, thing is City don't have to sell but if he really wanted to go (like when at Real Madrid) could Chelsea afford his services ? maybe, maybe not, what money or which players would Scolari be prepared to offer for Robinho ? all depends how bad you want the player.

  11. in his first interview for man city, robinho said he was happy he signed for the blues....well, he thought he signed for chelsea. he was such an idiot.
the reality had struck him hard. he says city can rival real. maybe in 10years.

  12. Man City buying the most expensive players does not make you a class team. Look what happened to Blackburn when they coughed up millions, won the Premiership and went down.

Looks like lightning will strike twice though - Man City have no history they are just the pizz poor relation of Manure

  13. the only reason robinho join man city not chelsea is because chelsea put a picture of robinho's top on there website so he went to city because he thought this was a insult to real

Don't kid yourself - It's all about the money - This is the only way he could escape the clutches of Real, soon he will head to a better team - Chelsea for instance

  14. my honest opinion is that robinho should be left alone.Man. City has the players but dont have that consistency.

  17. Why would Robinho want to go to a team that have no money and are obviously on the way down? Sorry folks, but come January the best players in the world will wake up to the fact that there is only one place to be and that ain't stamford bridge!
