Struggling Clyde have confirmed manager John Brown has left the club.

The Bully Wee lost 3-1 at home to East Fife on Saturday to remain three points adrift bottom of the Irn-Bru Second Division.

A statement on the club's official website read: "John Brown has left his position as manager. The club will release further details in the coming days."

Clyde have won only three of their 15 league games this season following their relegation from the First Division last term.

Former Rangers defender Brown took over at Broadwood Stadium in January 2008 following the resignation of Colin Hendry.
