Premier League - Giggs set for United talks
Fri, 23 Dec 19:12:00 2011
Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs will shortly sit down with manager Sir Alex Ferguson to discuss his plans for the future.
Giggs, who has spent his entire career at United, is presently halfway through the latest in a succession of one-year contracts that have become the norm for the Welshman since he entered his thirties.
Giggs told the club's official website: "It's almost that time when I'll sit down with the manager and see what his plans are [for the future] and I'll see how I'm feeling. At the moment I feel really good and I'm enjoying things more than ever, so we'll just have to wait and see."
Little could anyone have imagined that, at the age of 38, Giggs would still be producing performances of the high standard he delivered at Fulham in midweek.
Sir Alex Ferguson described the contribution from Giggs to United's 5-0 win as "incredible", and it also featured the midfielder's first Premier League goal of the season.
That extended his unique record of scoring in every campaign since the new competition began in 1992.

Respect for Giggs big time from an Arsenal Fan, and that's saying something!
Take note Arsene:
This is the way to go with regards to veteran players. Keep them at the club, not just merely sign them for a quick fix.
Giggs is one of those players who defines football. We may have thousands of players but only a few will define football in great detail, and one of those players is Ryan Giggs. In the words of Jose Mourinho when he was asked about Pele, he said, "He's football" I think he meant Pele defined football in great detail. So is what Giggs has been doing for over two decades, the man's a legend! I'm a Man City fan by the way
A wonderfull player and i'm an Arsenal supporter. He's not holding Man Utd togrther, he is along with Alex
Ferguson the blue print of great football. If we can stop being so pretty, we can challenge. Well done Ryan.
Ryan Gigs is a phenomenol as a player, and others shall look at him with respect, what he does in his private life it shall be his busines and his only, it is a football player we talking about, not a person. WELL DONE RYAN KEEP GOING.
but this geriatric past his 'sell by' date clown s hagged his wife's sister for 8 years!
Surely he will not have the energy to carry on as before!
f.u,ck!, put ryan in a horror movie, and he'd be the ultimate survivor ..definately a legend
He's a living legend and whilst it's easy to critisise him from the sofa, he still earns his place in the United team and is an amazing talent who is still delivering the goods. I still love watching him play and he'll be missed when he's gone, so I hope there are a few seasons left in him yet!!
he is still good enough to do as good as he does always.
i am legend
hand of truth are you actually watching the same player your on about ,giggs legend ,hand of truth ,pillock merry xmas to all
well people are watching different games to me because he used to be good now hes rubbish.watch how many of his passes go astray and he wont run back and help not much anyway hes one of fergie blue eyes roy keane was right what he said about fergie what suits him not always best for man u that has been proved this year look at that dismal midfield fergies losing it listen when he gives an interview he slurs hes a @#$% going just like cloughie on the wine losing his judgement
Dark PITT, Collins, Parasite Watche -, There are so many jealous and bitter people on here,- "FOR THOSE WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE" - remember that one guys, stop being so bitte, its Christmas Eve you saddo's.
This must be Man U's biggest signing this season, the 38 year old Ryan 'evergreen' Giggs...
...LMFAO, both Giggs and Fergie seem to be clinging to the past!
Hang your boots up Giggs and let someone younger have their chance.
it'll be all the bedroom workouts he gets keeping him young. don't care what kind of footballer he is; as a man he's a lowlife cheat and creepy looking to boot.
PARASITE WATCHER- Who's watching the Parasite himself?- YOU! watch your back sicko.
He is still very capable, versatile, thinking etc. etc
A great player and quite a stud just ask his brother.
I'm off to buy giggs yoga dvd. The guys a legend. more metals and trophies than most team. No one is going beat his medal tally and I can't see anyone playing for 1 club for so long. AND for Man City fan his one we took right under your noses.
I wish I was 38 and as fit as a butchers dog
