West Ham defender James Collins has suffered another setback as he recovers from a persistent groin injury at Upton Park. The 24-year-old collided with a Portsmouth player during Wednesday night's reserve clash and was stretchered off after just 34 minutes with suspected ligament damage.
Danny Gabbidon, who also made his return from injury in the 1-0 win over Pompey, told the club's official website "I feel for James because he was playing so well up to then.
"He was a bit unlucky the guy fell on his knee and he has done something to it.
"Hopefully he can recover and get back a quick as possible. It is disappointing to see him get an injury."
