Coventry boss Iain Dowie believes the struggling Sky Blues are within a 'whisker' of transforming their fortunes in the Championship.City have slipped to within three places of the relegation zone after losing five of their last six Championship games.
But Dowie, who is hopeful of completing the signing of Walsall's Dan Fox after having a bid accepted by the League One club this week, believes some fresh faces and an improvement in front of goal will see City start to climb the table.
"If we can get some bodies in it will give everyone a lift," said Dowie. "When we get the right people in the building then I think things will improve.
"We have worked on putting in more shots and crosses and we have achieved that. We had 22 or 23 shots against Burnley and the more you watch it the more you think the result is a travesty.
"We keep losing games we should win and we have got to stop doing that. But we are within a whisker, it is a matter of seconds, fractions and yards in games at the moment, that's all."
