Huddersfield boss Andy Ritchie is anxious to put one over old mate John Sheridan when he returns to Oldham in the fourth round of the FA Cup.Ritchie enjoyed two spells as a Latics player and spent three years as manager from 1998 to 2001, while former Leeds and Oldham team-mate Sheridan replaced Ronnie Moore as Boundary Park boss in June 2006.

Ritchie said: "We've met in the league, when I was at Barnsley and with Huddersfield and there's not much between us. I'm looking forward to the chance of getting ahead in the cup.

"John was my best signing as a manager at Oldham. He came and did a fantastic job and we've known each other for a long, long time.

"It will be good to pit my wits against him in a cup tie - the cup's a little bit different and if we weren't going to get one of the bigger clubs, Oldham were the ones I would have loved to have a go at.

"It will be great to go back. There will be a full-house, it's winnable for both sides, so either side could get through to the fifth round and have an even better chance of landing one of the big guns."
