Barnsley boss Simon Davey has taken striker Daniel Nardiello back to Oakwell on loan from QPR until the end of the season. The Wales international, who arrived at Loftus Road on a free transfer in the summer after turning down an improved offer to stay with the Tykes, returns to South Yorkshire after making just eight appearances in all competitions for Rangers.

Under the terms of the loan deal, Nardiello will not be able to play against QPR when the two sides meet at Oakwell on Saturday, February 16.

Davey told the club's official website: "We are delighted to bring Daniel back to the club and he will make us more of a threat at a time when we need goals."
