Southampton have appointed John Gorman and Jason Dodd as caretaker managers following George Burley's departure.
The Saints favourites will step in for Saturday's FA Cup fourth round tie against Bury after Burley agreed to take charge of Scotland.
A compensation deal has been agreed between the SFA and Southampton, with Burley replacing Alex McLeish on a four-and-a-half year deal.
Acting chief executive Lee Hoos said: "We are sad to see George go because he did a very good job for us but we now have to move on and find a replacement.
"We are fortunate to have a very capable coaching staff who will ensure continuity and stability while we decide who to bring in.
"John Gorman is highly experience having been assistant to Glenn Hoddle with England and Southampton among others. He has also been a manager in his own right and he will be helped out by first-team coach Jason Dodd and reserve team boss Stewart Henderson who has also been fully involved with the senior side this season."
