Bus impressed Calderwood during a trial at Pittodrie.

De Graafschap are willing to let Bus leave as his contract expires in the summer and he does not figure in their plans.

The 29-year-old is set to sign a loan deal until the end of the season once he passes his medical.

"If Bus passes a medical, he will be with us until the summer," Calderwood told the Daily Record.

"Dave has a lot of pace, he is good in the air and he can play at centre-half as well as right-back.

"I always think Dutch players are quite suited to Scottish football.

"Dave is someone who always defends on his front foot and we tend to sit back in Scotland.

"He defends going forward, because he is not scared of what is behind him due to the pace he possesses."
