Juventus have moved closer to signing midfielder Lubos Kalouda from FC Brno after both parties met in Prague.

Kalouda was one of the Czech republic's stand-out players in their second-placed showing at the World Under-20 Championships in 2007 and has recently been called up to the senior squad.

"We agree with the offer Juventus have made us today," FC Brno majority shareholder Roman Pros said after a meeting with Juventus representative Alessio Secci. "Now it depends on the Juventus board approving the fee after they sit at the start of next week. Then we will continue with negotiations."

The Czech club are understood to be demanding approximately £4 million for the 20-year-old playmaker, although Pros refused to confirm the exact amount, saying: "We will not be specific on finances."

Apart from the transfer fee, the terms of the player's move have also been subject of talks.

"One of the possibilities is that Lubos would become a Juventus player straight away but he will stay at Brno for the rest of the season," Kalouda's agent Pavel Zika remarked.

Kalouda, tipped as the new Pavel Nedved, is now with the Brno in Turkey where they are preparing for the second part of the Czech season, but he has said in the past that he would 'not be afraid of moving to Juventus'.
