Liga - Mourinho 'to quit in June'
Jose Mourinho will quit his job as Real Madrid manager this summer, according to media reports in Spain.
News of strife at the Bernabeu comes at the worst possible time, with Real fans having booed and whistled Mourinho at the weekend, and the Madrid club facing a crunch Copa del Rey clash against arch-rivals Barcelona on Wednesday.
The claim that Mourinho will quit came from highly-respected Spanish football journalist Siro Lopez, who said after Real Madrid's 4-1 win against Athletic Bilbao at the weekend that the former Chelsea boss will walk away from his £11.5 million-a-year job at the end of the season.
Loepz, who writes about football for newspaper AS, claimed that his source was one of Mourinho's closest allies.
That claim was apparently bolstered on Monday when another Spanish newspaper, Marca, published embarrassing details of a training ground argument between Mourinho and one of his key defenders, Sergio Ramos.
Mourinho told Ramos "you killed me", referring to a post-match interview that the Portuguese manager claimed had been disloyal, adding that, "as you Spanish are world champions, your friends in the press protect you ... like the goalkeeper," he added, referring to Iker Casillas.
At that point, Casillas shouted over angrily at Mourinho: "Boss, here we say things to each other's faces."
Mourinho then argued with Ramos about his failure to mark Carles Puyol during one of Barcelona's goals in the first-leg Cup match last week - a barb which Ramos met with an arch jibe at Mourinho's lack of experience as a player.
"Depending on the match situation, sometimes it’s necessary to change the marking. And as you have never been a player, you wouldn’t know that this is sometimes necessary," Ramos told his boss.
Ramos later denied on his Twitter feed that there was a rift at the club, saying, "this is a great group that is well united, no matter what is said."

Jose must leave real madrid and try to manage a team with no stars and see how he does , how come you play barcelona 10 times you only won 1 so there , tell you that Jose is can only manage the stars , imagine he is a barcelona coach he will be the most arragont person
he is in talk with spurs seen him at the lane last week
When people post comments you start to wonder if they are soccer lover or not for me I see them as bunch of fools. To start with whichever team you support support them well but when it comes to analysing football do it objectively. Most of the useless and blind followers of barca cannot even get closer to tourch the lace to the boot of least in rank of barca player:they are enjoying their jobs and off the pitch most of them are friends so if you love barca or madrid (real) enjoy the moments of your victory and your followership.
No right thinking man except some fools on earth will say mourihno is no a wonderful coach. My opinion which is mine alone is that all coaches are good that pep belongs but wonderful coaches are not common the category mourihno belongs because JM is doing all he could to restore RM glorious days and has achieve this little up till date let's give him the kudos we all know the level and shape he met RM. I know if Pep G leave to another club nobody will follow him, whever and whenever JM move to people will follow him due to his track record that made him to be the first best coach that pep is enjoying now. How many coaches has travelled the way JM did and won the number of trophies he won. Pls. Don't compare JM and PG they are not in the same league. I know barca is the best team in the world no doubt but pls give mourihno the credit he deserve transforming RM to toppang laliga table which has not happen since have forgoting. Peace out
MOURINHO TO ARSENAL--------EXCHANGE FOR WENGER====OK
Mourinho come to arsenal please
hey Limey, u are still making errors with your write up. please try and read what you wrote and correct your SHOULD.
I cant see anything in this story that makes it a credible one, this sounds like a media built story. i personally dont like JM but with what i know he will not walk away from Madrid without major trophies...too proud for that , and even now its still not a certainty that he has to win any. He wants to be considered the special one and if he leaves now he would have failed with the most talented team he has ever coached in his entire career ....this would be unacceptable for such a proud self centred man
The Special One is coming home...Mourino's coming home!
mourinho to united? that means cleverley are going to become the new obi mikel
He will win La Liga and fail at the CL
I agree with you Jay but please leave the zombie MADrid fans to continue with what they know best,
'just beat Barca...., we don't care about titles.....' that's why there players are under enormous pressure
whenever they meet gr8 Barcelona.
LFC now is the time to make move!
Jose is a really good coach, I would love to see him take over from Sir Alex 1 day BUT.... united do not buy stars... Jose loves to buy stars and I think that will be a problem with united. We are known for making stars not buying them, I hope he realises that before he thinks about coming to United. But he is a good coach, and any team will be lucky to have him as a coach(this excludes the buying and selling of players)
Look at all the ugrateful Real Madrid fans slating Mourinho, he won a minor trophy in his first season, took the team to the semi final after seven years of not being able to progress beyond the group stages, managed to beat the bogey team that is Lyon and is on route to securing if his own stupid fans do not derail him La Liga for the first time in a few years. Real Madrid fans and the whole board are a bunch of *$%£ face @£$%er who are the most fickle and ugrateful fans in the world, they ruin players, get rid of players that have been loyal. Zidane, Ronaldo and Cristiano Roanldo have been booed, Robben, Sneidjer, Van Der Vaart, Robinho, Micheal Owen, Makelele were all treated badly and forced out. When Queiroz was the manager for Real Madrid he asked to bring Pepe for £2 million but did the stubborn goat Perez listen NO, the next two years they had to buy him for £20 million, they could have saved themselves £18 million. Not a fan of Barcelona at all but at least they make Ballon D'or winners, Real Madrid only know how to buy them, but what do you expect from a club that have useless ungrateful $%£*ers as fans and a stupid President named Perez.
Mourinho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Alonso, Casillas and Kaka are too good for such a stupid club.
Madrid fans are morons to want to beat Barca more than to win La Liga, Champions League or Copa del Rey.
Jose want to win titles.
Please Jose win La Liga title or more then leave to Liverpool or Man Utd. Of course the same Madrid fans will beg you to stay, Just ignore them and come back to England. We miss you!
Madrid, you can have Benitez ha ha haaaa...
I think Mourinho is a brilliant coach, with a great leadership skills that tend to be misunderstood, & mistaken with arrogance. You can never brand him as a $ coach, as you should remember that he won the CL with Porto, a club you can not line up with the $ available at the rest of the clubs.
Anyway, if you think he only wins with clubs with full pockets of money, then he is in the right place at the moment, isn't he ?
Just give the guy sometime, I think Madrid should stick with him like MU is loyal to their coach.
For all his posturing and bile directed at Barca in the last few years, this MORONHO' it emerged went to beg for a job at Barcelona when Rijkaard leff. The best decision in the history of football is not giving Moronho the job. He would have destroyed that club with his brand of 'Siege Mentality' football. Pep - you are the special one
What club did he ever manage that didn't use money to buy success? Mourinho does have the right tactics, but its not football, at least not the football we know and love. I respect him for his ability to get results, but this always comes with having the best/most expensive team outfit. Real Madrid should on paper win everything going having the most expensive team line-up so those that say he is the best ever are talking with blinkers on. I hope if he does return to England that he goes with a club that don't have their pockets lined with silver, and hope that he can truly show if he has what it takes to be a great. Of course thats only my opinion.
he likes challenges and thus will go to liverpool. Am sure he knows how long its been since their last title and would like to change that.
Hope Mourinho wins La Liga, The Champions League and the Spanish Cup and then leaves to them begging to stay. What a pack of prima donnas. Ramos should be dropped for what he said to Mourinho - he's the boss and deserves respect
Oh....i cant wait to hear Mourinho is coming to the THEATRE OF DREAMS.....Watch this space. That is his dream......he sent me an email the other day.................haters stay out this.
