Norwich have signed Leeds captain Jonny Howson for an undisclosed fee.
Howson has agreed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Barclays Premier League club.
The 23-year-old midfielder will be Norwich's first signing of the January transfer window.
Norwich manager Paul Lambert said: "I think he has been brilliant for Leeds - how he has played but also being their captain brings its own demands. It's a fantastic club, Leeds.
"I think he can add goals to our midfield which I think we need and he can do that. He'll get better as a player the higher the level he goes up. If he does that and everything goes well, he'll be a great player for us."

hey you guys i live in norwich but follow leeds, both clubs have there good points and bad points,at the moment norwichs gd points are there in the premier and players like howson wanna play for them rather than leeds, howson jumped ship because he could see that leeds are going nowhere while bates and grayson are there, leeds at the moment are a mid table championship team at best, too many old and average players who just wanna pick up there wages each week with no pride in the shirt, norwich and leeds came up together, norwich kept there squad together and added gd young players, leeds sold there best players, bought old players coming to end of there careers or got loanees, norwich have a team that plays together weekin weekout, leeds dont,we hire players that play 3 or 4 times then go bk to there own clubs, untill leeds stop living off past glorys and start investing in players on contracts rather than old players or loanies leeds aint going nowhere other than down
Actually I know Norwich and its history very well - it's much nicer than Ipswich!!
You presume incorrectly that I'm a Leeds Supporter, you obviously do not understand irony, exist has only one s by the way !! OTBC
Im not surprised he wants to move as his own supporters dont know the diffrence between a village town or city. Norwich which has been a city for nearly a thousand years and known to exsist for two thousand. Nevermind Mal n william just keep it in mind that your captain has moved club to play proper football with a smile on his face in one of Englands finest cities. You two sound like you meet in the pidgeon loft once or twice a week behind the whippets back. I like Leeds and the people but compared to the scum over pennines that ain't toooo hard is it;) Hope you get back to top flite but not with Bates at helm, oh Yeah Johny says thanks for the move and not alot else
Get it right a Premier League Norfolk village team !!
Our best player for ages and poached by a Norfolk village team - I'm finished with football
