Leicester manager Nigel Pearson praised his side's work ethic after they moved to within five points of the Championship play-off places following a 2-0 win at Southampton.
First-half goals from David Nugent and Matt Mills inflicted a second successive home defeat on the second-placed Saints and lifted City up to 13th in the table.
"I am very pleased for the players. They have put a lot in to the game and they have got what they deserved," Pearson told the club's official website.
"It is all well and good having talented players but whatever level you play at you must always work harder than the opposition and the work ethic really was exceptional.
"This is a long way to come for us all and for the supporters especially it is a great result. They made a tremendous noise and backed the players from the start right until the finish."

Good Manager,Saints should of never let him go!!!
Don't bring Leicester City into disrepute. We are a noble club and don't need England cast offs mouthing unsavoury comments from the nineteenth century. Let's concentrate on the massive positive of beating the second in the league.
