Vincenti keeps faith

Aldershot midfielder Peter Vincenti is desperate to see his side break their barren run in front of goal and does not care how it comes.

Saturday's goalless draw at home to Accrington was a sixth successive blank for goal-shy Shots and Vincenti is hoping the sorry sequence comes to an end this weekend at AFC Wimbledon.

"I thought the performance versus Accrington was much better," Vincenti told the club's official website.

"We were solid and our concentration levels were good and we got a clean sheet. It was so frustrating not to score though.

"We kept going and we believe it is going to turn. It is hard when you lose on the bounce. It does knock your confidence, but we just lack that killer edge at the moment.

"We just want to see one to go in, whether it's an own goal or whatever, but it will come."
