Hamburg still in hunt for German joy

Hamburg remain firmly in the race for the Bundesliga title after holding leaders Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.Ivica Olic edged Hamburg ahead in the 60th minute but Ze Roberto equalised six minutes later to earn the hosts a share of the spoils.

Bayern finished the game a man down after Mark van Bommel was sent off for two bookings in the space of a minute in injury time.

The Munich giants remain four points ahead of second-placed Werder Bremen and six ahead of third-placed Bayer Leverkusen. Hamburg are back in fourth, also six points off the summit.

Nurnberg and Energie Cottbus had to settle for a point each after a draw which does neither relegation threatened side many favours.

Nurnberg took the lead with Marco Engelhardt's goal in the 58th minute but Dennis Sorensen levelled for Cottbus a minute later.

Nurnberg jumped one spot in the table to 16th with 17 points - one from safety. And Cottbus remain last with 17 points as well.
