Rovers deny missing payment

Blackburn have issued a statement to deny they have missed a payment due to Dundee United for striker David Goodwillie.

Rovers confirmed they paid the instalment in full on Monday.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Further to press speculation regarding the supposed non-payment of an instalment for the transfer of David Goodwillie from Dundee United, Blackburn Rovers Football Club would like to put the record straight. The club can confirm that it paid all the monies (in accordance with regulations) to the FA on Monday and we are surprised to find this story in the media today."

Scotland international Goodwillie moved to Ewood Park from the SPL club in August last year.
