Cardiff manager Dave Jones is ready to testify on behalf of Bristol City counterpart Gary Johnson to save him serving a touchline ban.During Saturday's 2-1 win for the Bluebirds, Johnson was dismissed to the stand by referee Keith Stroud for snatching the ball from fourth official Andy Halliday.

However, Jones said: "It was a bit harsh. He didn't deserve to be sent off and I'll speak for him if he appeals.

"If the roles were reversed I'd have done the same thing he did."
