Keogh bites back at the boo-boys

Mon 24 Mar, 03:15 PM

Wolves striker Andy Keogh has hit back at a section of the Molineux crowd after they called for him to be substituted in the 3-3 draw with QPR.Keogh netted twice for Mick McCarthy's men in the six-goal thriller, but sections of the home support chanted for the 21-year-old to be hauled off after missing an earlier chance.

The former Scunthorpe forward has now insisted his detractors will not affect his performances as Wolves try and secure a place in the play-off pack.

"Any stick I get doesn't bother me in the slightest, and if it happens I will just play for myself and the team," Keogh told the club's website.

"You don't need any negativity, none of the players do, but that lads in the squad are strong enough to block it out. We need the crowd to be more positive because there are certain sections of it that like to be negative."
