Nigel Adkins has urged Scunthorpe to play with no fear for the remainder of the season despite the spectre of relegation looming large. The Iron are currently six points adrift of safety following Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Ipswich, but Adkins wants his players to turn in some decent displays in their final six games.
"We have got to pick ourselves up," Adkins told the club's official website.
"Everyone has got to keep grabbing an oar for each other because it is twitchy time now and everybody is going to be panicking.
"And we can go out and play with relaxation, and no fear, because everybody outside the environment expects us to go down.
"We are still in there. It is not mathematically out of reach so we have to keep going."
