Stoke star Danny Pugh believes that the table-topping Potters' bid for promotion to the Premier League is in their own hands.

The Potters are a point clear of Bristol City at the top of the Championship after their draw with Blackpool on Saturday.

With just six games remaining, Pugh is confident they can hold on to land a place in the top flight.

The 25-year-old told the club's official website: "The rest of the season is still in our own hands and it is up to us to make sure we achieve what we want to achieve.

"We would have snapped anyone's hand off to be in this position at the start of the season and we will be giving it our all for the last six games."
